Students, want to make an impact this summer?
For undergraduate, graduate, and MBA students interested in social impact, we offer two opportunities to get paid while working in an impact-related role during summer 2019. Apply soon—these opportunities are selective and funding is limited.
1. Work as a Wharton Social Impact intern
Join us! We’re hiring summer interns to support strategic projects throughout summer 2019. As a Wharton Social Impact intern, you’ll work on projects that touch impact investing, consulting, due diligence, impact assessment, data analysis, writing, and, of course, social impact!
This paid internship is open to current undergraduate and graduate Wharton and Penn students. You’ll work 15-30 hours per week from May through August 2019. Start and end dates are flexible.
We will review applications on a rolling basis, with preference given to applicants who apply by April 19.
2. Apply for funding for an unpaid/underpaid social impact internship
Already found your ideal internship with a nonprofit or social enterprise? This summer, we’re offering a very limited amount of funding to support Wharton undergrad and MBA students seeking unpaid or underpaid social impact-related summer internships.
These competitive awards will be determined based on the specifics of the internship, funding from host organization, and the available funding amount.
To qualify for funding, internships must be at least 10 weeks in duration. We will not provide funding for internship programs that charge for participation.
First round applications are due April 15, but we will consider applications after that date.
