In 2013, additional support from the Bendheim family created The Bendheim Fellow Social Impact Fund.
Open to previous recipients of the Bendheim Loan Forgiveness Fund, this fund invites Bendheim Fellows to apply for special project funding to work with Wharton students.
Through this new resource — which works in tandem with the existing Loan Forgiveness Fund — Bendheim Fellows working in public sector or nonprofit careers have the opportunity to apply to receive financial support for their host organization. The Social Impact Fund allows Bendheim Fellows to hire and supervise Wharton students to work as interns, consultants or researchers in collaboration with the Fellow’s host organization.
This program also supports the creation of an annual Gathering of Bendheim Fellows and annual Fellows report.
